Soft
A soft phone is a piece of software deployed by a VoIP provider which allows you to make VoIP calls via your computer.
USB
A USB VoIP phone connects via the USB port of your computer or laptop, allowing you to use VoIP software such as Skype. There are many different types of USB enabled phones including headsets and traditional phone styles.
Desktop
Standard business class phones are all what you would call desktop VoIP phones.
Wireless
Wireless enabled VoIP phones allow you to move around the home or office whilst on a call, using a transceiver with Wi-Fi or DECT to connect to a base unit.
