General Telecom announces RouteNGN’s expanded LCR capabilities

(Source: Datamonitor)General Telecom, a provider of switching and network management service, has announced the new and expanded least cost routing or LCR capabilities of the General Telecom RouteNGN route engine for VoIP/ TDM traffic over next-generation networks.

Combining a modular approach with open source development, the RouteNGN tool is designed to help carriers and service providers bring VoIP offerings quickly to market, while minimizing CAPEX and OPEX. The General Telecom RouteNGN routing solution can operate in the cloud, as a secure Software-as-a-Service (Saas) solution, onsite, or as a hybrid solution, the company said.

Randy Weinberger, general manager of General Telecom, said: “In today’s marketplace, the amount of time it takes to become operational and deploy services directly impacts the profitability of service providers.”
